Brian McNealy Named Quality Catering Logistics Manager

Dec. 1 , 2011 -- Brian McNealy has joined Quality Catering for Kids as logistics manager for the company, which provides ready-to-eat meals for child care centers, preschools and private grade schools in Illinois and Wisconsin.

“I am grateful to start with a small company with big plans,” he said, “It is my intention to provide the best customer service possible, on a daily basis. I have been delivering solid customer service for the last 19 years to the military, financial and transportation industries.”

McNealy began working in the transportation industry with Airborne Express, which was acquired by DHL Express.

“I truly enjoyed the challenges that position provided,” he said. “I learned a lot regarding labor relations, completing multiple tasks in a short period of time, and trouble shooting on the run in order to meet the customers’ needs.”

After spending almost nine years at DHL Express, he worked at Con-way freight where he was exposed to another sector of the transportation industry, allowing him to learn new concepts and advance his customer service focus.

“We are pleased to bring Brian onto the Quality Catering for Kids team,” said Jim Scharnell, company president. “Brian’s skills will enhance our commitment to the best customer service for the child care centers, preschools and grade schools we serve in northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin.”

McNealy began his career in the U.S. Army. He was a Unit Supply Specialist, achieving the rank of sergeant in the 2nd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne and Ranger schools. He also graduated with honors from the U.S. Army Primary Leadership Development Course. During that time, he participated in combat operations during the invasion of Panama.

Upon receiving an honorable discharge, McNealy completed a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He worked for several years as an internal auditor with the IRS. During that time he passed the Certified Public Accountant examination.
