Nutrition Lesson Plans Attract Media Attention

Brookfield, Wis. -- Newspapers in Elm Grove, Brookfield and Waukesha, Wis., have reported on the nutrition lesson plans that Quality Catering for Kids provides at no cost to child care centers and schools that receive its nutritious hot lunches.

The stories, which note how the lesson plans support Quality Catering for Kids’ mission of fostering proper child development through good nutrition, appeared in the BrookfieldNOW, Elm GroveNOW and WaukeshaNOW newspapers and online news sites.

The articles were published as additional schools in Wisconsin have signed up to receive hot lunches from Quality Catering for Kids, and as educators, school boards and parents call for greater nutrition in the lunch room.

"As more schools and child care centers in Wisconsin focus on nutrition and strive to offer more healthful food for their students and youngsters, we’re happy to provide an affordable way to accomplish that,” said Tracy Casanova, sales and marketing manager for Quality Catering for Kids. “Our meals are kid-tested, so there is much less waste than with other meal programs. And our menus are guided by a Dietetic Technician-Registered, so our customers can be confident that children’s nutrition needs are being met."

Quality Catering for Kids each day provides more than 15,000 nutritious meals for children in child care centers, preschools and schools southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Meals are prepared in a USDA-certified commissary and delivered ready to serve. Because of the company’s experience and size, it is able to provide nutritious meals at competitive prices, usually lower than existing hot lunch programs and lower than sack lunches.
